Julie Mac - As I Am - Cabaret Performance
Saturday, May 18th, 2013 at 8:00PM
Where: The Randolph Performing Arts Center at The Music Den
Tickets: $20.00

Artist Information:
"As I Am”, is much more than a show, it is an experience. Come with an open heart and mind, leave with a little magic!

There came a time in my life that I stopped singing almost completely. I became so afraid of not being perfect and of being judged, that I wouldn’t sing in front of anyone…not even myself.

One day I put on my “big girl panties” and started a journey. I went to retreats. I found mentors. Sometimes I struggled, sometimes I soared. I listened. I found something that I cannot live without. I found myself.

My joy is to share what I have learned. If I could, I would wrap it up with a bow and gift it to each of you.”
-Julie Mac

“Julie Mac’s voice and her ability to tell a story through song, connect her audience with their own feelings about life and love in that special way that only the great singers and performers can do. If you have a chance to see her perform – take it!!" - Phil E.

“Julie has a natural stage presence that envelops her audience in the warmth of her personality, and a voice that is as pure as freshly fallen snow. She blends these two things together with a wonderful sense of humor, and is not afraid to poke fun at herself as she tells her life story through song and words. You wish the show would go on and on." - Alan M.

The Music Den Teacher Of The Month - Joe Egan - May 2013

The Music Den Teacher Of The Month - Joe Egan

At The Music Den, we are proud of our teachers and their accomplishments. We want you to know a little about them so we are featuring one teacher each month.

Joe Egan has been teaching at The Music Den for over 8 years and is a valued member of our team. He focuses on individual student needs for theoretical development, ear training, chord progressions, composition, and sight-reading. Joe has over 40 students and maintains a steady, reliable, progressive studio.

Because of Joe Egan’s leadership skills and his exemplary methodologies, each of his students develop a routine practice regimen and are eager to demonstrate their accomplishments week to week. Joe’s easy going personality and confident teaching style allows students to feel relaxed and focused during a session. He seeks information for individual student goals and assists the student in reaching them. Joe arrives early every day Monday through Friday to prepare for his students. He is responsible, caring, and dedicated to his craft. Because of his excellent teaching skills his students are inspired and eager to play their instrument.

Not only does Joe Egan excel as an educator, but constantly hones his own skills through performance in his own band, “The Human Era”. A 2006 graduate of William Paterson University with a degree in Sound Engineering Arts, Joe owns a recording studio, "Missile Silo Studios", in Hopatcong, New Jersey. Joe has performed in Asbury Park at the “Stone Pony” and in surrounding artistic areas such as Hoboken and Morristown NJ, and Brooklyn, NY.

Congratulations Joe for being May’s Teacher of the Month!
