Artist Information:

Tower of Power is an American R&B-based horn section and band, originating in Oakland, California, that has been performing for over 44 years. They are best known for their funky soul sound highlighted by a powerful horn section and precisely syncopated bass-guitar lines. Their biggest hits include "You're Still A Young Man", "So Very Hard To Go","Soul With a Capital S", "Soul Vaccination", "What Is Hip?", and "Don't Change Horses (In the Middle of a Stream)."

This clinic will include instruction related to working in a Horn Section, including: Rehearsal Techniques, Arranging for Horn Sections, Auditioning for Horn Sections, and also personal stories and history about the Tower Of Power band.

This event is sponsored by Yamaha band instruments, and will also include a section where attendees will be introduced to some of the new Yamaha custom Z Series II and 62 Series III horns.
